The word Pharology originates from the Latin term Pharos which means Lighthouse. Pharos was the name of the famous lighthouse of Alexandria in Egypt. This lighthouse is a significant part of Pharology, as it represents one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Lighthouses don't chase ships. They hold position, emit steady signal, and trust that those navigating in the dark will find them.
